Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Alexander Weichert

Priv-Doz. Dr. Alexander Weichert is a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics with a focus on special obstetrics and perinatal medicine. He received his training at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Most recently, he was the specialist head of prenatal diagnosis and therapy at the Charité Outpatient Health Centre and has published more than 100 scientific papers.
He is certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation for first trimester screening and by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ultraschall in der Medizin (DEGUM) as a DEGUM Level III course leader. This is the highest level of expertise and is reserved for only a few physicians. As a perinatologist, he specialises in monitoring mothers and children in high-risk pregnancies. In addition to screening ultrasound examinations, he also offers second opinions in case of abnormal findings.
Alexander Weichert is married and the father of three children.
